5 Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back To Your WebsiteCopyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.com Many successful websites depend on returning visitors to account for a major part of their traffic. Returning visitors are easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The credibility issue just melts away. Hence, keep your visitors coming back to your site with the following methods: 1) Start a forum, chat room or shout box When you start a forum, chat room or shout box, you are providing your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with their peers -- all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every day. 2) Start a web log (blog) Keep an online journal or more commonly known as a blog, on your site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to the monitor if you post fresh news frequently. You will also build up your credibility as you are proving to them that there is also a real life person behind the website. 3) Carry out polls or surveys Polls and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should definitely consider adding to your site. They provide a quick way for visitors to voice their opinions and to get involved in your website. Be sure to publish polls or surveys that are strongly relevant to the target market of your website to keep them interested to find out about the results. 4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games Just imagine how many office workers procrastinate at work every day, and you will be able to gauge how many people will keep visiting your site if you provide a very interesting or addicting way of entertainment. You can also hold competitions to award the high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the prize. 5) Update frequently with fresh content Update your site frequently with fresh content so that every time your visitors come back, they will have something to read on your site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to browse a site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your site updated with fresh content! 5 Top Low Cost Ways To Generate Website TrafficCopyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.com There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site; it also takes money to make money. BUT, it doesn't take a whole caboodle of cash to generate website traffic for your site. Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites. You don't have to do this if you don't really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don't have or can't afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it. Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic. Exchange LinksThis is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You'll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites. A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic. Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs. Traffic ExchangeThis is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours. Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another's site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted. Write and Submit ArticlesThere are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself. Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has. Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more. Make a Newsletter. This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well. As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site. Join Online Communities and ForumsThis only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site. Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people. Build Your Own Website!Copyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.comBuild Your Own Website - "If you build it they will come!" However, in order to get visitors, your website should NOT be geared toward direct sales, but more importantly toward simply attracting visitors and (YEP.... you guessed it) ... getting them to sign up to your list! It's that IMPORTANT! If you don't have your own website... Get one. You're missing out on a wealth of opportunity. And remember... you can sell products later.... after you've established a relationship with your customers and built trust! And I guarantee you will sell products "later" if you build your list! Your site doesn't have to be fancy, and to be perfectly honest, there are many websites out there that provide a great service for folks who aren't too familiar with web design. I've listed my favorite below. Understand that creating your own website not only allows you MUCH more opportunity to create sales, but it will also get you much more involved (and excited) about your online business. The search engines look for content when listing sites... and that's very important for traffic. You'll have the ability to create some genuine content that'll be picked up by those search engines, which in turn, will lead to a flood of traffic. Once you start writing articles for your newsletter (and you will start a newsletter...right?), simply load them onto your website to add instant content that your visitors will enjoy reading and look forward to... and the search engines will gobble it up like an ant eater on steroids. As mentioned previously, you want to earn your customers trust and actually build relationships. That's the goal of your website! Once you accomplish this, the sales will follow. That is extremely important! Don't try to immediately sell a visitor that lands on your website, but instead offer them something of value... FREE... I.E. a newsletter subscription or a free report to download outlining some great ways to solve a problem or put some excitement in their life. SiteSell University - If you aren't familiar... CHECK IT OUT! If you are... Congratulations! SiteSell University will offer you a goldmine of information about "pre-selling" your customers and, in my opinion ( and I don't endorse too many businesses this strongly), they have the best web hosting service on the planet for new startups, complete with mailing list features, newsletter integration, promotional tools... and much more. If you are new to Internet Marketing and don't know how to build a website then may I suggest having Stone Evans build you one at Plug-in-Profit-Site. Copyright © Bill Shultz http://www.pipelineincomes.com/Yahoo offers a chance for any business to increase their website traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your business Getting a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every business's goal. Many methods are devised and utilized to ensure that there would be more people to boost the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the lifeblood of your Internet-based business. To get a person to visit your site, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to your site could allow you to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company's ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted. Yahoo utilizes the same principle as Google's Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched. For example, lets say you run a car parts retail/wholesale site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is searched. When a search engine user types in Honda Accord, your ad may come up if you have designated that as one of your keywords. You don't need to fully optimize your site with Search Engine Optimization methods and techniques. While some labor so hard to make their site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least on the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on. With that, you drive 'traffic and website visitors' to your site a lot faster. Third party sites support ads that have the same theme or niche as them. With more areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product. With more website visitors you increase the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one. With so much competition in the Internet-based businesses, it is necessary to take a huge leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo will be a great place to start. Many have utilized their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It's a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to profit. It takes money to make money, while there are some methods to getting website traffic that are basically low cost or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way. 5 Methods To Boost Your Website TrafficCopyright © Bill Shultz http://www.pipelineincomes.com/When people start an Internet Business, they tend to be caught up in all the hype. Most are led to believe they will not have to work at driving traffic to their site because they were under the impression the program they joined would do all the work. Well people that is far from the truth, you must work at driving targeted traffic to you website (not your affiliate site) to get higher rankings with the search engines. So lets look at 5 ways to boost your website traffic... 1. Article marketing is one of the best ways to drive potential customers to your website. When you write an article and publish it on an article directory it will be seen by people all over the world. With content in the article followed with a good 'About the author' box the reader will be intrigued of what you have to offer, click your link and visit your site. 2. Blogging is another great way to drive targeted prospects to your site. If you write good content on your blog the search engine spiders will crawl the net, find fresh quality content, and put your blog post high in the search results. Meaning quality targeted traffic. 3. Back links is one that many people tend to overlook. When the search engines crawl the net for a particular search result that the consumer is looking for, It looks for the best website that fits the consumers wants. By having back links your website will be viewed as a popular site (if search engine optimized correctly) for what the searcher is looking for. 4. PPC and contextual advertising are two of the best ways to advertise for the money. With PPC, you are only paying for traffic if it clicks on you ad through the search results. You see these sponsored ads mainly on the top and right side of search results. Contextual advertising is my favorite, it is used through keywords throughout articles and is very effective in driving visitors to boost your website traffic. With both of these methods, you can control your spending in which helps you stay within your budget. 5. Forum posts are another favorite of mine. When posting in forums you can become an expert in your niche and answer any questions that someone may have. If you post often and give good advice and answers, people that come in the forums will see you as an expert in that niche and will want to see what your involved with and click on your signature and visit your website. When marketing to boost your 'website traffic' master one of these methods before moving on to the next. Because even if you only do one of these methods it could take your website to the top over time. Repeat Web Traffic TipsCopyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.com1. Update the pages on your website frequently. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines. You can even put a date counter on the page to show when it was last updated. 2. Offer additional value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their sites and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competition with your own product. 3. You can allow customers to 'opt in' to get discounts and special offers. Place a link on your site to invite customers to 'opt in' to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons. 4. Add a link to your primary page with a script 'Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites'. 5. Add a link 'Recommend this site to a Friend' so that the visitor can email your website link, with a prewritten title, "Thought you might be interested in this", just by clicking on it. 6. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a 'Contact Us' link on each page. 7. Create a 'Our Policies' page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site. 8. Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your site. 8. Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark. 9. Never spam a client, who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide they want to 'opt out' of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the mailing list. They may still come back if they like your products. But they will certainly not come back if you continue to flood their email box with mails they no longer wish to receive. Tips to Increase Ranking and Website TrafficCopyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.comIt is worth cataloguing the basic principles to be enforced to increase website traffic and search engine rankings. Create a site with valuable content, products or services. * Place primary and secondary keywords within the first 25 words in your page content and spread them evenly throughout the document. * Research and use the right keywords/phrases to attract your target customers. * Use your keywords in the right fields and references within your web page. Like Title, META tags, Headers, etc. * Keep your site design simple so that your customers can navigate easily between web pages, find what they want and buy products and services. * Submit your web pages i.e. every web page and not just the home page, to the most popular search engines and directory services. Hire someone to do so, if required. Be sure this is a manual submission. Do not engage an automated submission service. * Keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high. Use online tools and utilities to keep track of how your website is doing. * Monitor your competitors and the top ranked websites to see what they are doing right in the way of design, navigation, content, keywords, etc. * Use reports and logs from your web hosting company to see where your traffic is coming from. Analyze your visitor location and their incoming sources whether search engines or links from other sites and the keywords they used to find you. * Make your customer visit easy and give them plenty of ways to remember you in the form of newsletters, free reports, reduction coupons etc. * Demonstrate your industry and product or service expertise by writing and submitting articles for your website or for article banks so you are perceived as an expert in your field. * When selling products online, use simple payment and shipment methods to make your customer's experience fast and easy. * When not sure, hire professionals. Though it may seem costly, but it is a lot less expensive than spending your money on a website which no one visits. * Don't look at your website as a static brochure. Treat it as a dynamic, ever-changing sales tool and location, just like your real store to which your customers with the same seriousness.
