Making Money with Articles: Article DirectoriesCopyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.com Article directories are websites that house free articles. These articles are usually put there by whoever owns the copyright to them as a promotion method. Each article has the owners byline placed under it so that those who eventually read the article will know who wrote it (or at least who owns it) and will be able to get in contact with or visit their website for further information. Articles directories are a great place to put your articles so that they will make you money. By using this method, people who are interested in your product or service will see your article, view you as an expert in the subject, and will visit your website. Even if you cannot write or do not have any knowledge on the subject on which you are promoting (for example for you run an affiliate website), you can always hire a writer to do the work for you. Getting quality articles written will be expensive up front, but they will pay for themselves in no time, either through affiliate sales or selling your own services, and everything from then on is pure profit. Let's take a real life example. Imagine that you are an accountant working from home. You write an article on an accounting topic and place it on various article directories. Those who are looking for the subject you wrote about will read your article, see that you have the knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail. Your article just gained you a new client who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once. Furthermore, since you have posted it on a free article directory, others who have affiliate websites about accounting will inevitably use your article for their website. Since they must attach your byline to it, this will bring you even more exposure for every website that re-posts your article. This because you will be benefiting of off the traffic that they get to their website. There are numerous article directories out there for you to utilize. Your bet best is to put a copy of each of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. It will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new orders and more profit. Making Money with Articles: Is Experience Needed?Copyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.comWhen you are trying to make money with articles, the beauty of it is that you don't really need previous career related experience and that you can learn the ropes as you go. That being said, there are some skills that you will need to teach yourself or pick up along the way to make your sites successful. You can't go in not knowing 'anything, not learning anything, and still expect to make a good income (or any income at all). First, you will need to know how to pick out the correct articles to make your sites successful. There are many types of content, from free content to high dollar content, and each comes with its own advantages and disadvantages (although high dollar content is more likely to give you a successful site in the end). Second, you will need to know how to choose keywords that can help you get a good amount of traffic, without being too competitive to get on the first or second page. If you choose highly competitive keywords that are used by large, mammoth website, you are likely to never get up to those much needed first two pages. Third, you will need to know how to optimize your websites for various search engines. Search engine optimization skills will allow you to get high rankings for your chosen niche keywords, which will help to get visitors and make profit. Fourth, if you opt for a large website that you will focus most of your internet marketing career on, you will also need to know how to market your website to your intended audience through paid banner ads and text links. If you prefer very small 2-5 page niche sites, then promoting all of them this way will not be cost effective and will eat up more profits than it is worth. If you can capture some of these skills and attack them aggressively during your first few small websites or the first few months of a larger website, then you will eventually become an expert. Since you can learn the ropes first hand on your own, the only thing that you will need to do before you begin your new career is to read up on how to get started (maybe purchase an internet marketing e-book or two) and make sure that you have the funds available to start a small site. Market Yourself And Your ProductsCopyright © Bill Shultz www.PipelineIncomes.comI won't go into the whole "Marketing" subject here... Naturally, we all know how incredibly extensive the subject could be. But I do want to point out a few things that you need to recognize when marketing yourself and your business online. Marketing doesn't have to cost a fortune! Advertising, however, can become quite costly... and there is a difference! When marketing your business there are a few things that should be brought to the forefront. You need to recognize the fact that traffic is your ultimate goal! More importantly, you need to (eventually) be able to sell that traffic once they land on your website. That's where you need to be a SUPER Salesperson! But how you acquire the traffic is just as important. We all know about Google Adwords and Yahoo search, but to be honest, in my opinion they are all a bit overrated and can become quite costly for a small business. Don't misunderstand, there certainly are effective ways to use the "Pay-Per-Click" search engines, but that's not something I'd like to discuss in this report… (Perhaps we'll save that subject for another report in itself). You best efforts should focus on providing quality content and useful information related to your niche' market. Once you do this, the search engines and other websites will pick up on this content and start indexing your web pages rapidly -- referring folks to your website for FREE. Now that's a bargain! More importantly... GET YOUR MAILING LIST Setup! That's when you'll really make the sales! You should immediately begin writing creative, interesting articles relating to your niche'. Once you've written an article, you can submit it to hundreds of article directories and gain valuable links back to your website free. A great place to learn more about writing and submitting articles is Article Marketer. Everything we've talked about up to this point has dealt with effective marketing so take each topic and utilize what you've learned. Put a few of the ideas to the test. If you implement some the strategies I've outlined here, you'll be a much better SALESPERSON in the long run... and that's what it's all about... Becoming a SUPER SALESPERSON! NOTE: There is a course on the market that does an excellent job at teaching you how to market your business exceptionally well. This course was written by an expert marketer and has created MILLIONS of dollars in sales for many businesses. It goes into much more detail about some of the topics we've discussed here. 5 Methods To Boost Your Website TrafficCopyright © Bill Shultz http://www.pipelineincomes.com/When people start an Internet Business, they tend to be caught up in all the hype. Most are led to believe they will not have to work at driving traffic to their site because they were under the impression the program they joined would do all the work. Well people that is far from the truth, you must work at driving targeted traffic to you website (not your affiliate site) to get higher rankings with the search engines. So lets look at 5 ways to boost your website traffic... 1. Article marketing is one of the best ways to drive potential customers to your website. When you write an article and publish it on an article directory it will be seen by people all over the world. With content in the article followed with a good 'About the author' box the reader will be intrigued of what you have to offer, click your link and visit your site. 2. Blogging is another great way to drive targeted prospects to your site. If you write good content on your blog the search engine spiders will crawl the net, find fresh quality content, and put your blog post high in the search results. Meaning quality targeted traffic. 3. Back links is one that many people tend to overlook. When the search engines crawl the net for a particular search result that the consumer is looking for, It looks for the best website that fits the consumers wants. By having back links your website will be viewed as a popular site (if search engine optimized correctly) for what the searcher is looking for. 4. PPC and contextual advertising are two of the best ways to advertise for the money. With PPC, you are only paying for traffic if it clicks on you ad through the search results. You see these sponsored ads mainly on the top and right side of search results. Contextual advertising is my favorite, it is used through keywords throughout articles and is very effective in driving visitors to boost your website traffic. With both of these methods, you can control your spending in which helps you stay within your budget. 5. Forum posts are another favorite of mine. When posting in forums you can become an expert in your niche and answer any questions that someone may have. If you post often and give good advice and answers, people that come in the forums will see you as an expert in that niche and will want to see what your involved with and click on your signature and visit your website. When marketing to boost your 'website traffic' master one of these methods before moving on to the next. Because even if you only do one of these methods it could take your website to the top over time.
