Let's start by saying that when most people decide to start an online business on the Internet they are going to be interested in starting with affiliate programs. Affiliate programs are the cheapest and easiest way to start earning an extra income,, and with the right knowledge and dedication, it turns into a fulltime income that can replace you current fulltime job.

The things that can hurt 95% of people that start affiliate programs is the lack of understanding what they have to do in order to succeed with affiliate programs. Most people are led to believe that all they have to do is sign up, get their affiliate website, and start collecting checks. This is where the problem comes in. 95% of the people do not realize what it takes to drive traffic to their website. If you do not understand how to get the traffic to your website you are going to fail before you even get started. When you have a website it is sitting out in cyber space with umpteen million other websites, People can not drive by your website physically you have to position your website to be right in front of them and get them to click on your site to get them to visit.

Let me explain, if you were to write one article and submit it to lets say ten article directories it will be all over the Internet with a link back to your website. People every day are looking for good articles to send to their readers and if yours is what they think their readers would enjoy then they would pick yours and put it ion their Blog or send it to their readers through their newsletter (with your link directing them back to your website). That is some powerful marketing and all you did was write an article and submit it to ten directories. Just imagian if you did this every week or every other day. Remember once it is out there you will not be able to stop all the traffic coming to your website. The only way you could stop it, is if you no longer owned that website, "who in their right mind would want to stop it"?
